Be All That You Can Be

Be all that you can be in the Wal-Mart Army! At first when they handed down that dress code I was like, guys why dont you just make the logo a big circle with a bullseye in the middle of it! Cant you see the commercial , these two wal mart execs sitting there with a lawyer, ( like the Coke Zero commercial ) saying what if we take the middle circle out and leave the outer circle, can we use that logo?
Sometimes I feel like I have joined an occult! Gotta wear blue and khaki everyday, and for God's sake doent say God unless your a customer! Anyway I could go on my soap box for hours on this subject alone! I do like aspects of my job, getting to see 450 to 500 people everyday, and I get plenty of excercise walking from window to window and then fill a little but unless you work there and know who works back there you know what I am talking about!
I am praying, alot lately for God to change things for me, but for the most part to change me! REmind me that I am not working for man my work is unto God, I work to please Him! Help me tho think about what is good and worth my thoughts! Help me to keep my mind focused on job and to show people that God isnt mad at them! If what Jesus said is true when He said He was the light of the world and He put that light in those that believe in Him, then if people look at me do they see that light? Do people see God in me? What part of God are they seeing? I was joking the other day with my Pastor and said, " If I am the only Jesus that some of my customers saw that day, then they would think that Jesus was a little pissed off! "
As christians our actions tell more of a story than our words ever will! Same when Jesus was alive, there were people claiming to be the Messiah and doing things in the name of god, but Jesus' actions showed that He was who He said He was! I leave with this, am I who I claim to be? Do people see that I follow Jesus?

Hey Chris love your first 2 blogs. :) Oh and let me tell you ... I know ALL about the pharmacy life. Im sorry about the dress code though .. how dull and boring! Im sure glad Rite Aid hasn't gone that far. (YET!) When I open the gates of the pharmacy every morning I say Im opening the gates of hell and its my job to try and make the most of the day. We even have a thumb sized thermometer, used to measure the cold for our vaccines to make sure they don't ever freeze, and when it goes all blue that'll mean that hell is freezing over. hahahaha! Ok well ... looking forward to more good reading. See ya Sunday!

Chris,
You are a funny, caring guy who makes the mundane, sometimes stressful, chore of getting medicine somewhat enjoyable! Don't ever think you need to change - in fact my mom and I probably would be heartbroken if you did!! Know that what you do everyday does mean something to a lot of people, and hang in there!!

Chris, you share your thoughts with wit and wisdom! And you are asking all the right questions....Do people see that I follow Jesus? Am I who I say I am? Maybe if all of us asked that question more often, people would see more of Him in us! Keep up the writing, I'm a fan!
